Captain who?

Who wants to go see X-Men Origins: Wolverine at 11:59pm on Wednesday April 29th? We can watch LOST and then leave to go see it. Whaddya say?

More importantly, who wants to see Star Trek on opening night, Thursday May 7th? There will be 7pm shows and 10pm shows. I will be at one of those showtimes. I'll be there alone if I have to be, but it will surely be more fun if I have companions. Come!



Yes that was James Tiberius Kirk, the ORIGINAL captain Kirk from the ORIGINAL series back in the 1960s.

Yes that was the USS Enterprise, the ORIGINAL Star Trek starship from the ORIGINAL series back in the 1960s.

...And yes that was a planet disintegrating.



Mind you, I've NEVER watched an episode of Star Trek or read or book or anything, and honestly I've never wanted to. What do I look like, some kinda nerd? But this is going to be epic BECAUSE:

1.) It's taking us back to the beginning where it started which is awesome
2.) It's directed by J.J. Abrams, the mastermind behind the tv show LOST
3.) Did you watch the trailer??

I just found out that Spinal Tap is releasing a new album on June 15th, 2009.

One song will be called "Short and Sweet," about guitarist Nigel Tufnel's four-foot-nine-inch girlfriend (and it clocks in at over seven minutes long, by the way).

I'm stoked.

Brett Pepin is the most wonderful man on earth and soon he'll be the most wonderful husband on earth! Brett Pepin is cute. Brett Pepin has yummy smelling underarms. He drools when he sleeps. He slurps when he eats. His nose is super tickly and his chin is super prickly.

Literally probably 70% of my college essay-writing has taken place between the hours of midnight and 8:00am.

...And for some reason those essays usually turn out the best.

And now after an hour of lollygagging church starts in 7 hours and I'm approximately halfway done.

This isn't looking good.....




At least I have Lincoln Brewster and his face-melting guitar solos to keep me company.
